As a trusted voice for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe, IEEE is the world's largest professional organization for the advancement of technology. In late-2015, IEEE was looking to develop a 2-minute brand video highlighting their successes as an authority-style organization for their booth at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in January of 2016.
After delving into the vast history, current presence, and future goals of the organization, it was clear that a longer script would be required to showcase all their strengths. "Fostering Technological Innovation: Yesterday, Today + Tomorrow" was developed as a theme to feature how they've touched humanity over the past 130 years and their impact on today's and future society.
Working off this theme, a developed script, and IEEE's branding, I provided refined creative direction and supervision for all facets of the video production including: storyboarding, photo and music selection, motion design, timing, and supervising/directing the production artist.
Totaling just shy of four minutes, the video was seen by as many as 170,000 attendees of CES 2016. Additionally, due to warm internal reception, the video continues to be used and updated as a promotional piece for the organization.
